Being Alive

I am alive because I am breathing and my heart is beating. But if one is healthy, is it enough? No, it is not. There is no doubt that money is important in life, and work is the source of that money. It is sad that the modern materialistic world has changed human priorities.

Look within yourself and think of this. When was the last time you really lived? When did you actually laugh out loud? I mean literally and not just typed “lol”. Have you gazed at the star studded moonlit sky? Have you felt the ocean touch your feet? Did the songs of the birds reach your ears? Have your eyes been treated to the sight of beautiful flowers? Have you met the amazing nature and imbibed its beauty- the trees, the leaves, butterflies, lakes, waterfalls, rainbows? When was the last time you danced to your heart’s content? How long has it been that you experienced the thrill of doing something for the first time?

Your responses will tell you how alive you are. We should be thankful for this life. Each day is a new beginning that brings with it the chance to live the way we want. Let your past not hold you back from living in your amazing present. It is never too late to start living. We need to find time to enjoy life in its true sense. Live your life and feel the joy of living in the moment.
